World Level Designer (FILLED)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous World Level Designer to join the team working on our next Unannounced project, an arcade action-packed PvP/PvE game developed in Unreal Engine. As the sole Level Designer on the team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting immersive and engaging environments that bring our game world to life.

We need someone to help build a dynamic world that captivates players and enhances gameplay. Level design for this multiplayer game is a critical component that directly impacts player experience, game balance, and overall enjoyment. You will have full ownership of the level design process, from conceptualizing to implementing maps, collaborating closely with our small team.

Logistics:

You must be legally eligible to work in and located in Canada. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for renewal.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, and implement compelling levels and game environments using Unreal Engine.

  • Work autonomously to create immersive maps that elevate player engagement and reinforce the action-focused gameplay.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and appealing game world.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in world creation and level design for action games.

  • Expertise with Unreal Engine, especially in level building.

  • Ability to work independently as the sole Level Designer, driving projects from concept to completion.

  • Strong understanding of gameplay mechanics and their integration into level design.
